The AbortionWiki Internship is a 10 week program which will provide you with an improved understanding of many crucial aspects of the fight to abolish abortion. These will include skills specific to the injustice of abortion, as well as skills which will be applicable in many other fields. The Internship is aimed at pro-life youth, however people of any age are welcome to apply. The internship is FREE and dates are flexible. You will learn a lot and make new friends in the Pro-Life Movement!

What You'll Achieve

By the end of your internship, you will have produced a number of resources valuable to the Pro-Life Movement:

  • Article on your local Planned Parenthood affiliate (example)
  • Article on a local abortion business (example)
  • Article on a prominent prochoice leader
  • Article on a local prochoice legislator (i.e. U.S. Rep. or Senator)
  • Research at a local library or archive. Large collections of papers and archives from prochoice individuals and organizations exist at locations all around the World. Until now, the information in these papers has been hidden and inaccessible. No longer!
  • Compilation of one or more extensive lists of individuals affiliated with a prochoice group. (example)
  • One or more blog posts based on research you've done during the internship (with the possibility of these posts being picked up on by major pro-life news sources)
  • Sharing of valuable information via AbortionWiki's social networking sites (i.e. Facebook, Twitter)

What You'll Receive

  • A user account on AbortionWiki
  • Certificate of completion - signed by AbortionWiki board members
  • Pro-Life t-shirt
  • A copy of "Why Pro-Life?", a must-read book by Randy Alcorn

Skills You'll Gain

  • Training in editing the website (gain skill in editing a Wiki-driven website)
  • Training in search techniques:
    • Advanced Google search skills
    • Locating “lost” files on the web
  • Training in handling and processing of large amounts of data (lists) in various formats (i.e. PDF, Excel). You'll learn how to take an inaccessibly large amount of data and convert it into something useful and searchable.
  • Writing skills
  • Research skills
    • Web-based research
    • Research at an academic facility

Internship Details

The internship will be web-based. This will allow participants from around the World to work together with the flexibility and comfort of their own homes. There will be weekly one-on-one video meetings with the internship coordinator (Andy Moore). There will also be weekly video meetings with all interns.


Interns will commit at least 5 hours per week to the internship. Over the ten-week internship, this will come to 50 hours. Interns are encouraged to invest more time if they wish.


You'll need:

  • Computer with internet access
  • Microphone/Webcam for weekly video meetings
  • Transport (if you are going to research at a library)
