Haslam received an MB Ch B in Medicine from the University of Otago in 1970.[1]

Waikato DHB

Alastair Haslam began working for the Waikato District Health Board in May 1978.[1] From 1988 until the present time, Haslam has worked as Clinical director, Obstetrics and Gynaecology for Waikato Hospital.[2]

Certifying Consultant

As at 11 November, 2009, Haslam was a Certifying Consultant and the Clinical Director and Head of the Department of O&G at Waikato Hospital, Hamilton. Certifying consultants have the job of approving or disapproving a mother being permitted to have her pre-born child killed by abortion.[3]

Anglesea Integrated Centre

As at Oct. 2008, Haslam worked at Anglesea Integrated Centre. Here he focused on medical and other disorders in pregnancy (consultation only), as well as general gynaecology.[2]


As at Oct. 2008, Alastair Haslam served as Vice President for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.[2]
