Education

From 2001 - 2005, Sewell studied for a BA, Spanish, Women's Studies, and Psychology at the University of North Texas.[1]

NARAL

Between 2001 - 2005, while studying at the University of North Texas, Sewell interned with NARAL Pro-Choice Texas. From August 2007 – May 2010 she worked as Executive Coordinator for NARAL Pro-Choice America. From Oct. 2011 - the present, she serves on the board of NARAL Pro-Choice Virginia.[1]

Feminist Majority Foundation

Between 2001 - 2005, while studying at the University of North Texas, Sewell was involved with the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance which is affiliated with the Feminist Majority Foundation. She also interned with the Foundation. From July 2006 – August 2007, Sewell worked as a Regional Campus Organizer for the Feminist Majority Foundation.[1]

TEA Fund

In Jan. 2005, Gretchen Dyer, Samantha Sewell, Lena Glover, Merritt Tierce, Lulu Beall, and Erin Wackerla co-founded the Texas Equal Access Fund, an organization that raises funds in order to subsidize abortions for mothers who are low-income, or of an ethnic minority.[2] Sewell currently works for the Fund.[1]
