Dr. Alastair Haslam
Haslam received an MB Ch B in Medicine from the University of Otago in 1970.
Alastair Haslam began working for the Waikato District Health Board in May 1978. From 1988 until the present time, Haslam has worked as Clinical director, Obstetrics and Gynaecology for Waikato Hospital.
As at 11 November, 2009, Haslam was a Certifying Consultant and the Clinical Director and Head of the Department of O&G at Waikato Hospital, Hamilton. Certifying consultants have the job of approving or disapproving a mother being permitted to have her pre-born child killed by abortion.
Anglesea Integrated Centre
As at Oct. 2008, Haslam worked at Anglesea Integrated Centre. Here he focused on medical and other disorders in pregnancy (consultation only), as well as general gynaecology.
As at Oct. 2008, Alastair Haslam served as Vice President for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
