Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama (nee Robinson) is the First Lady of the United States of America. She is the wife of President Barack Obama.

Opposed Partial-Birth Abortion Ban

On Feb. 17, 2004, Michelle Obama wrote a fundraising letter during her husband’s 2004 US Senate campaign claiming the partial birth abortion ban “is clearly unconstitutional” and “a flawed law.” See letter to the right.[1]

Political Donations

On December 14, 2007, Michelle Obama contributed $399 to Barack Obama's primary campaign for President.[2]

On Aug. 1, 2008, Michelle Obama contributed $2,300 to Hillary Clinton's primary campaign for President. The donation was made after Clinton had retired from the race to her campaign which was $22 million in debt.[3]
